Honda is a well-known brand for several reasons. The models are usually priced to own. They feature the latest technology. They are also reliable.
If you’re thinking about heading to a Honda dealership, though, you may not feel sure which one you want to buy. You should strongly consider the Honda Pilot if you want a family-sized vehicle with lots of excellent features.

Let’s talk about it a bit right now.
The Price.
If you want the latest model of the Honda Pilot, then you will want to know the price. You can get a stripped-down version for a little over $41K, while the most luxurious trim package is a little less than $56K. That price gets you a vehicle that your family should be able to use for many years to come.
It’s a Three-Row SUV.
If you want a vehicle this size, then the chances are that you have a larger family. You can usually fit eight people in a Pilot with no issues.
However, what’s nice about this model is that you can easily reconfigure the seats if you like. That way, you can transport not only a small group of people, but also a great deal of equipment. If you’re driving the kids to baseball practice or taking everybody camping, you should have no issues fitting everything inside this behemoth that you’ll need at your destination.
The Fuel Economy.
For those who are interested in fuel economy, this vehicle gets 19 miles per gallon in the city and 27 on the highway. That’s pretty good for an SUV of this size and at this price point.
The Towing Capabilities.
Maybe you’re more interested in what this model can tow. It tows up to 5,000 pounds in most instances. However, you should note that is limited to the all-wheel drive models.
You can also get a front-wheel drive Pilot. That version tops out at 3,500 pounds of towing capacity.
That’s close to what you’ll get with some competitors, such as the Grand Highlander or the Telluride. If you need more towing power, though, you might be better off going with something like the Dodge Durango.
0-60 MPH Time.
If you’re curious about how fast this vehicle can get to 60 miles per hour, it will take 7.2 seconds. That was with the Elite trim package.
The Trailsport model is another option. That one hits 60 miles per hour in 6.9 seconds. That’s about typical for what you can expect in this class.
The Engine.
This vehicle has a 3.5-Liter V-6 engine, which is also typical for SUVs in this grouping. You can expect 285 horsepower. It also comes with a 10-speed automatic configuration.
If you look at this model, you should see that it’s comparable to the specifications of other SUVs in its class and at its price point. If you’re looking for a new family vehicle that you can own for years, then you should definitely give this one some thought.
