First of all, you absolutely need a sweater. Small dogs have been bred to be totally domesticated and therefore struggle to keep themselves up. There are seasonable sweaters, or sweaters with funny quotes, so you can really let your dog’s personality shine through.
Then, there is the dog coat. If you live somewhere with a lot of rain, or colder climates, then they need a coat. You need to make sure that you get one that is right for your climate, however. Choose from leather, sweat shirts, fleece, raincoats, and more. Again, these items are not just fashionable, they are functional as well.
Bandanas are also always a good idea. If you want to make sure your dog is comfortable, while still following fashion, then the bandana is the way to go. Don’t go for bows, however, as these leave your dogs less comfortable.
Naturally, you also need to make sure you get a cool collar and leash to compliment your dog’s personality. For the 2016 summer, the big fashion trend in collars is leather. However, leather can be quite expensive and there is never anything fashionable about breaking the bank, unless you are Paris Hilton and breaking the bank is impossible. You shouldn’t have to pay the earth for these types of clothes, however, because they are small and reasonably easy to make.
When you go out shopping for your doggy wardrobe, make sure you don’t end up paying hundreds for a single piece, therefore. Dogs are, as stated, living creates, not pieces of art. The most important thing, therefore, is that their clothes are functional and actually improve their lives. If you purchase something really expensive, encrusted with Swarovski crystals, you aren’t thinking about your dog’s wellbeing. After all, you will want to stop them from ripping off some of the crystals just because they are dogs. After all, dogs don’t understand that there is a price tag associated with Swarovski!
